French Fashion Pattern For Dolls
From the April 7, 1872 issue of “La Mode Illustree”
Suitable for Huret & Rohmer type dolls
Envelope contains pattern and directions for an “Enfantine” style dress with scalloped edges
and a layered skirt to fit Reproduction resin & Gildebrief bodies.
There are separate patterns sheets for each size bodice. The photos show a dress made using the pattern but without the scalloped edge and without the gathered overbodice.
Since these are virtually the same cut as the antiques I recommend you fit them to your doll. Some of us like the dress to fit closely to the doll’s body, some of us like a looser fit.
Dolls of the past as well as the present were made of different materials and had different measurements.
